Jake's sister and her husband-
http://www.al.com/search/index.ssf?/base/news/1154856465240230.xml?birminghamnews?nmet&coll=2

Jake's sister and her husband is working for NASA in Huntsville, AL and today, there was an article in the local newspaper about their work.
They are such hard workers and it really motivates us!!
The above address is linked to the article :-)
"Say hello to them."
(Susan←family name
Hello again, Takako "my master"!
I had once worked for (中略), so I know the HTV project a little.
I've been very interested in the Space and NASA since when I was child.
I am very excited to know that Takako has such great relatives as Susan and her husband.
Would you please say hello to them, and of course, Jake as well?
Jake, don't disturb "my master"!
Bye for now.

Hello to Takako - and Hirosuke-san!
(Is that correct Japanese?:)
I am so impressed with your English!
We do not emphasize learning a foreign language here enough.
I consider being bi-lingual a gift you should be so proud of!
Thanks for being interested in our space program.
We are growing, and it is an exciting time.
Japan will be vital in the space program soon, once we can get your science module on-orbit and attached to the ISS, and you get the HTV flying!

Susan-san, I didn't expect your direct comment to me.
Thank you very much!
"I am so impressed with your English!"
>>>> Thanks a lot, but I've just found "a" grammer mistake in the English comment of mine.
I have to train myself much more.
By the way, I call Takako-san "my Master."
Why?
She has the most difficult English certification in Japan, or "the 1st grade," and gave some useful comments to my website on studying English.
I am just a pre-1st grader, so she is my "Master"!
I work as an English technical writer for a certain automobile company now.
To tell the truth, I'm not interested in cars.
"NASA", "the Space"....ummmmm, sounds good!

Hirosuke san
Thank you very much for writing comments in English and I hope you had fun communicating with Susan:-)
Your English is better than mine!
Please don't hesitate to take the 1st level-you'll pass it for sure!!
By the way, Jake NEVER disturbed me!!!
by *Takako*
(2006-08-11 11:54)
Hirosuke san, I can find no grammatical error in your blog entry.
That means I probably need to return to English class and brush up on my own language! (Ha-ha)
I am sure you are exceptional at your job.
However, it is so important to like what you do.
If what you are doing now is not rewarding, try to find a job like Takako has - something that is so exciting, you can't wait to get to work each day.
I admit - I need to take my own advice...
Everybody - have a great day at work tomorrow!

Susan-san, thank you for your second comment to me.
Today I'd like to ask you something.
NASA Web sites say:
"Using NASA Imagery and Linking to NASA Web Sites 10.13.05
Still Images, Audio Files and Video
NASA still images, audio files and video generally are not copyrighted. You may use NASA imagery, video and audio material for educational or informational purposes, including photo collections, textbooks, public exhibits and Internet Web pages. This general permission extends to personal Web pages."
This means that I can introduce the pictures and photos of NASA Web sites on my own pages, doesn't it?
Can I use one of them for my icon too, now "Mt Everest"?
If any problems, please let me know.
Sincerely, looking forward to your third comment.

Hello Hirosuke-san!
Yes, you may use the NASA pictures as your icon and on your web site! Thank you for your interest! We are getting ready to launch another shuttle flight on Saturday, so please keep the astronauts in your thoughts and prayers.

Susan-san, thank you for your reply.
Yes! Now I can take up NASA, the space, planets and so on as a theme in my web site with an easy mind.
Thank you, Susan!
THANK YOU, NASA!

Hello, Takako, Jake, Susan and the other (略)!
♪P,L,U,T,O...P,L,U,T,O...P,L,U T,O...it's got not a planet.♪
This is a big news, isn't it? I've got to write about it in my web page!
A famous news program in Japan reports that most of the Americans are against the idea that the Pluto is not a "planet."
What do you think about this topic?
I'm interested in your opinions, especially in those of NASA personnels.
Thank you.
by Hirosuke
(2006-08-25 03:51)
Hello Hirosuke,
I admit - I have not been keeping up with current U.S. opinion on this topic.
However, I just heard a NASA scientist on our local news say that it is the right thing to do, to demote Pluto from full planet status to "dwarf planet" status.
I am not an astronomer so I can not contribute much to this discussion.
However, I think it is exciting that astronomers around the world are able to continually learn about our solar system, even if it means reshaping previous thinking.
Poor Pluto... The only concern I have is how much it will cost our educational system to update our children's school text books! :)
Susan
(2006-08-25 09:11)
Hello again, Susan.
In Japan mothers are always anxious about education for their children.
So you are, Susan!
I've just know mothers in America are the same as those in Japan.
"I just heard a NASA scientist on our local news say that it is the right thing to do, to demote Pluto from full planet status to "dwarf planet" status. "
>>>That's to be expected.
Scientists always think everything theoretically.
Wait...now I remember... a mother-scientist thinks ... how?
Are you a scientist, Susan?
If "yes," what do you study?
Please say hello to Danny, your husband.
I pray the Shuttle launch on Saturday is successuful.
by Hirosuke
(2006-08-26 00:24)
Hello Hirosuke,
"Mother-scientist" - that sounds so interesting!!
Although I am a mother, unfortunately, I am not a scientist (that would be my smart daughter!)
I am an engineer, working with the Space Shuttle Solid Rocket Motor project (the two big motors on each side of the shuttle.)
Before this job, I worked on Space Station Payloads, scheduling experiments onboard the ISS.
My career has been very interesting.
It sounds like you are truly a Space fan.
Have you ever thought about investigating job opportunities with JAXA (Japanese Space Agency)??
Takako, thanks for enabling us to communicate through your blog!!!
I miss you and Jake...
Love,
S.
by Susan
(2006-08-26 06:40)
Susan,
I 'm a technical writer, but I have no knowledge on solid rocket motor.
I'll study it in NASA site.
Thank you for telling me JAXA, which I don't know.
I'll check it out.
I wish I could get a job there, but, unfortunately, I'm just a Space fan instead of an engineer or an astronomer...
I wrote in my Web page about the communication among Susan, Takako and me.
Click the URL below to contact me hereafter.
I'm glad to invite to my page Danny, Jake, and Jake's family as well.
Takako's family in USA are so interesting to me!
Danny, I'm interested in Space Shuttles and your job very much, but perhaps I couldn't understand your words on your job.
So, another topic!
I heard from Takako that you love Japanese green tea.
Me too!
PET-bottled green tea is more and more popular in Japan.
How do you drink green tea?
Well, then, Haagen-Dazs entries "Green Tea."
I wonder if it is sold in Japan only.
Can you get it in USA?
Do you like it?
Jake, you speak Japanese even when sleeping, don't you?
How did you learn Japanese?
I've never experienced to speak English in sleeping.
I believe your way must be a big hint for me to brush up my English, so tell me, PLEASE!
I'm looking forward to talking with you. I think you, except for Jake and Takako, are the same generation as me, so you can enjoy my favorite English pop hit tunes in my every page.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Hirosuke
