英語は「トレーニング」だ！

いやー、毎日なんて、とても書けません。

毎朝６時に起き、１時間半かけて会社に行き、１２時間頑張って、１時間かけて家に着き、食事したらぐったり、そのまま寝入ってしまうことも度々・・・な平日です。

本来なら英語力アップのため、毎日トレーニングをしなければならないのですが、それさえもままならぬ日々。
う～ん。

毎日３０分～６０分の「トレーニング」をすることで、僕は英語力を伸ばし、現在の職業、英文テクニカルライターになったのです。

ところで、今、「トレーニング」と言いました。

必要なのは、勉強ではなく、
トレーニングなのです。

塾講師、家庭教師の時代、
「出来の悪い中学生に何とかわかりやすく教えよう」
と工夫しているうちに、
英語の正体が見えてきました。

文法用語を使わない独自理論で、
中２の１学期期末試験が２３点で「英語なんて嫌いだ！」という子を、
１年後には実力テストで学年１位にしました。

その子は結局、大学で英語を専攻し、大学院まで行って、
現在、世界中を飛び回っています。

中学生でも大人でも同じなんです。

同じ方法を自分にも当てはめたら実力がついたのです。

取得した英語資格
英検準１級・工業英検２級・観光英検２級・商業英検Ｃ級。ＴＯＥＩＣ785（３年前）。
今秋、工業英検１級に挑戦の予定。

いろんな英語学習サイトで、自称ＴＯＥＩＣ900超だという人たちが●●●だらけの無料レポートを配っています。

僕には、●●も○○も●●●も●●●●●も全部透けて見えてしまいます。

「自己流でやってきたトレーニングだけど、やはり正解だったんだな」
とかえって自信を深めました。

毎日30分、トレーニング時間が欲しい！

具体的にどんなトレーニングなのか・・・それは明日。

I totally agree with your opinion," Need training to master Engkish". In my opininon, personally, languages can be mastered as much as we experience them. We need to read, write, speak and listen to it daily just like we does in Japanese! Many Japanese often ask what the bast way to learn English is, how we can learn English as soon as possible. The worst thing is how we can master English within 3 months!!! Everytime I hear/read these questions, I get a headache. Languages are NOT that simple. Of course, including Japanese. Training/Experiencing them is the only, best way to learn, I believe. I know Japanese are such busy people, but many people use the word "busy" as a pathetic excuse. The word is just a convinient thing for them to avoid learning English. I wouder how many people don't have 30-minute free time a day.

What we should know when we learn languages is that basically langages are tools to communicate with people, and to feel them but not think of them in our native language. Books might help us understand, yet we need people to communicate anyway. So, I don't want people to spend so much time learning alone if possible.

The comment is getting long though, here is my experience. When I was in a junior high school, I DID hate English. I could not even spell a word "people" when I was 8 grade. (I'm sure I was below the average... I could read and understand the meaning, but couldn't spell it on a test.) What I really hated is that we were forced to memorize all the grammer terms in Japanese bofore learning English!!!!!! That was just killing me! I had to think of the meaning of each term in Japanese. I couldn't understand even though I read the explanation of them on a book. I was taking time understanding these stupid terms but not English. It just doesn't make sense! Now, I'm learning English in ENGLISH. Ironically, this way is much easier for me to learn it beacause I don't need to think of Japanese at all. Just I image things/words by feeling English. I'm sure we don't need grammer terms especially if we learn English in Japanese. If we need instruction, we need to know each part of speech instead. That's it.

Sorry for my scribbled comment with my broken English. Hope you understand what I mean.
